Safehaven Marine makes boats that can go where only few others can. Pilot tenders, rescue boat that may be revoked at high surf and keep on moving, their products are really hardcore.
Now, the famous shipbuilder is setting its eyes on law enforcement and military market with its stealth interceptor boat Barracuda.
Black patrol boat goes fast and has a crew of 4-6 but can carry up to 12 people when needed. Its deep-V hull to rip through the waves at over 40 knots at about 230 miles on a single tank of gas. Drive comes from two diesel electric motors each with 600hp, which can be attached to a pair of screws or system of advanced water jet. Overall, Barracuda is said to be capable of operating in up to sea state 8 (which is up to 46 feet swells!) And can sustain speeds of operation in sea state 5 (up to 13 foot swells). This is an incredible capacity for a boat of this size.
Because its roots are from rescue boat, Barracuda is extremely survival, with four watertight compartments, auto straightening and carbon fiber used in its construction to make it as lightweight and durable as possible.
Barracuda cabin is spacious with fantastic visibility, and is adaptable for multiple missions with shock absorbing crew seats specially designed. The boats are with ballistic glass windows and the cabin can easily be upgraded with ballistic panels easily without permanent modifications.
Barracuda can be equipped with different sensors and weapons systems, including remotely controlled, stabilize and attract heavy machine gun / turret mounted smoke grenade launchers. Arguably, this could be replaced by a rocket launcher, and even perhaps light missile system depending on what the customer wants.
